Lake Retreat Food Service Policy:
As a camp that does not run a selection based menu, but a set menu served buffet style; we are not equipped or specialized to offer a wide range or expansive selection of vegan, gluten free, vegetarian, or dairy free items. Check the menu before heading out so you can accommodate special needs and preferences.
We do offer fruits, vegetables, salads, dairy free milks, grains, rice, gluten free oatmeal, gluten free bread, gluten free pasta, beans; BUT have found that special dietary needs are best met by the guest attending camp. It would be in that guest’s best interest to plan accordingly and bring their additional favorite foods to camp with them.
Also note that we do not accommodate a combination of diets (i.e. dairy free AND gluten free, etc.). If the items provided above do not cover an individual’s needs, then they will need to bring along their own food and we will provide refrigeration and a microwave to help them enjoy and benefit from the nutrition and foods that that guest is accustomed to.
Please note that Lake Retreat’s kitchen is not a gluten-free kitchen and food may be close to or exposed to surfaces where gluten-containing food is prepared.
Our facility contains wheat, gluten, milk, eggs, soy, peanuts, shellfish products and other potential allergens . We do not cook with peanuts but are not a peanut-free facility.
